- Glass Mosaic Pool Tiles
Glass Mosaic Pool Tiles offer stunning visual effects and durability for swimming pool interiors, water features, and pool surroundings. These tiles are manufactured from high-quality glass that is fired at extremely high temperatures, creating a non-porous, impervious surface that resists water absorption, chemical damage, and staining. The reflective properties of glass create brilliant light effects in and around the pool, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.
Our glass mosaic tiles are available in a wide range of colors, finishes (including iridescent, metallic, and transparent effects), and sheet-mounted configurations for easy installation. The glass composition makes them resistant to fading from UV exposure, unaffected by pool chemicals, and easy to clean and maintain. They are particularly effective for creating feature walls, accent bands, waterline tiles, and complete pool interiors in luxury installations.
Glass mosaic tiles transform ordinary pools into visual masterpieces with their light-reflecting qualities and color depth. They are ideal for both residential luxury pools and high-end commercial installations where aesthetics are paramount. The non-porous nature prevents algae growth in grout lines and makes maintenance easier than with some other tile materials. Proper installation by experienced tile setters ensures long-term performance and visual impact.
Glass tiles can be slippery. We offer textured finishes and recommend using smaller mosaics (1x1 inch or smaller) with more grout lines for better traction. For pool floors, consider combining with anti-slip tiles in key areas.
Glass is non-porous (better stain/chemical resistance), more reflective (better light effects), and maintains color better. Ceramic is more affordable and offers more texture options for slip resistance.
Glass requires white thinset mortar (not gray), proper waterproofing behind tiles, epoxy grout (not cement-based), and experienced installers familiar with glass tile expansion/contraction characteristics.
Yes! Glass is completely impervious to saltwater and chemicals. In fact, glass performs better than many other materials in saltwater environments as it won't corrode or degrade.
Regular brushing with soft brush, occasional cleaning with tile cleaner (avoid abrasives), keeping water chemistry balanced to prevent scale, and sealing grout lines annually to prevent staining.
