Proper pool vacuum hose selection is crucial for efficient cleaning operations. Measure from your skimmer to the farthest point in your pool, then add 5-10 feet for maneuverability. Standard lengths are 30, 40, and 50 feet. For large pools, you may need multiple hoses with connectors.
Our hoses come with weighted ends, but if additional weight is needed, use specially designed hose weights or place the hose under the pool pole while vacuuming. Ensure the hose is completely filled with water before starting.
Small holes can be repaired with waterproof tape or hose repair kits. However, for significant damage or cracks near connectors, replacement is recommended for optimal suction and safety.
Coil loosely in a large circle (not tightly wound) and hang on a hose reel or store flat in a shaded area. Avoid kinks and direct sunlight when not in use.
Standard pool vacuum hoses are 1.5 inches in diameter, which fits most skimmer ports and vacuum heads. Some systems use 1.25 or 1.75 inches - check your equipment specifications before purchasing.
