TCCA 90 Granular (Trichloroisocyanuric Acid 90%) is a highly effective stabilized chlorine compound for swimming pool sanitation. This granular form contains 90% available chlorine, making it one of the most concentrated chlorine products available for pool water treatment. The granular format allows for easy broadcasting directly into pool water or pre-dissolving for shock treatment applications.
Our TCCA 90 Granular is stabilized with cyanuric acid, which protects the chlorine from rapid degradation by sunlight, extending its effectiveness in outdoor pools. The product dissolves completely without leaving residue and is effective against bacteria, viruses, algae, and other microorganisms. It maintains chlorine residuals longer than unstabilized chlorine products, reducing application frequency and chemical consumption.
This chemical is ideal for regular maintenance chlorination and shock treatments in residential and commercial swimming pools. The granular form provides flexibility in application methods and is particularly useful for spot treatment of algae outbreaks. Proper handling and dosing are essential for safe and effective use, and the product should be added to the pool with adequate circulation to ensure even distribution.
For regular maintenance: 10-20 grams per 10,000 liters (2,640 gallons) to raise chlorine by 1 ppm. For shock treatment: 50-100 grams per 10,000 liters. Always pre-dissolve in a bucket before adding to pool.
Yes, TCCA 90 is compatible with saltwater pools. However, monitor cyanuric acid levels as it will increase stabilizer concentration over time.
For maintenance: every 2-3 days depending on bather load and sunlight exposure. Test chlorine levels regularly and add as needed to maintain 1-3 ppm free chlorine.
Wear gloves and eye protection. Never mix with other chemicals. Add to water, never water to chemical. Store in a cool, dry place away from other pool chemicals and organic materials.
TCCA 90 is slightly acidic and may lower pH over time. Monitor pH regularly and adjust with pH increaser (sodium carbonate) as needed to maintain 7.2-7.8.
