- Turn Buckle And Anchor
The Turn Buckle and Anchor system is essential for proper installation and tensioning of pool lane dividers and other swimming competition equipment. This hardware system provides secure anchoring points and adjustable tensioning capabilities to ensure lane lines remain straight, taut, and properly positioned during competitions and training sessions. The components are specifically designed for wet pool environments and heavy use.
Our turnbuckle and anchor sets include corrosion-resistant stainless steel turnbuckles with left-hand and right-hand threads for precise tension adjustment, durable wall anchors designed for various pool coping materials, and all necessary mounting hardware. The system allows for easy installation, adjustment, and removal of lane lines as needed for different events or pool configurations.
Proper tensioning is critical for competition lane lines to function effectively. Loose lane lines create unnecessary drag and poor wave damping, while overtightened lines can damage equipment or pool structures. Our turnbuckle and anchor systems provide the precise adjustability needed for optimal lane line performance. They are suitable for both permanent competition pools and temporary competition setups in multi-purpose facilities.
Install lane line with slight slack, then gradually tighten turnbuckle until line is straight and taut but not drum-tight. There should be minimal sag but some flexibility. Overtightening can damage anchors or lane lines.
For concrete decks: wedge anchors or sleeve anchors. For tile coping: specialized tile anchors with waterproof seals. For removable installations: deck plates with flush-mounted anchors. We can recommend the best option for your pool.
Typically two anchors per lane line - one at each end. For very long pools (50m), additional intermediate supports may be needed to prevent excessive sag.
Yes, our stainless steel turnbuckles are 316-grade marine stainless steel, which provides excellent corrosion resistance in saltwater environments.
Rinse with fresh water regularly, lubricate threads with silicone-based lubricant (not petroleum-based), check for corrosion or wear annually, and ensure anchors remain securely mounted in the deck.
